‘Las Vegas’ Campaign Commences

Josh Duhamel, Las Vegas/NBCFans of Las Vegas are sending baby booties and socks to NBC’s Ben Silverman in a plea to find closure and get a proper finale after the show was unceremoniously axed.

The campaign, “Operation Baby Booties”, was inspired by the success of Jericho’s plan to mail insane amounts nuts to CBS. Booties and socks have been chosen to represent the dramatic comedy due to Delinda’s pregnancy being the unresolved cliffhanger.

“In your shipment, please make sure to express the fact that you want a real ending to your favourite show,” reads the website. “That’s the goal of the campaign — to get Vegas a real ending.” What are you waiting for? You know what to do.

‘Moonlight’ Showrunner Let Go, ‘Las Vegas’ Axed

Shannyn Sossamon and Alex O'Loughlin, Moonlight/CBSMoonlight’s future has been put into doubt after showrunner Chip Johannessen has been released, not long after CBS commissioned four post-strike episodes from them. The firing comes at a crucial time for the vampire drama, as it fights for renewal.

The show, which stars Alex O’Loughlin as the immortal private investigator, has struggled to find stability at the top. Last summer, then-showrunner David Greenwalt, former executive producer of Angel, stepped down for health reasons.

Reports are stating that Moonlight will not be looking for a replacement showrunner until the second season, should it get renewed, which leaves executive producer Joel Silver overseeing the remaining episodes with the show’s writers.

What could be worse? Ask that to Las Vegas. According to TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello, the NBC drama has been given the axe without any chance for the writers to provide the viewers closure. Though not officially confirmed by NBC, it looks almost certain that the last pre-strike episode, which aired on February 15, was the series finale.

Moonlight returns on April 11.
