Hello everyone,

Well it has been an awfully long time since our last post, but just wanted to check in with you all to let you know a few things:

1. We are still here.
2. We are doing some gigs in 2016 – not quite as many as we have been doing in previous years, but this is deliberate.
3. We are taking this year to write some songs and we promise they will be more beautiful than ever.

The thing we have realised, is that the kind of songs we really love to play don’t manifest themselves in the midst of ridiculous busy-ness. So we’re taking 2016 as an ‘inhale year’ – which means lots of reading, listening, watching music, observing and generally not doing the Premier-Inn-motorway-routine we have done over the past few years.

It’s cool. There’s new music a-coming and we promise it will be worth the wait. But we’re trying not to RUSH so much. Stay with us on this one and please remember we exist, book us for shows and listen to our existing songs and keep faith that we will have new sounds, hopefully to share with you by the end of the year. But also remember that patience is the key and that having time to refresh is really important to us.

Hope this all makes sense. It really does to us.

We are very pleased to say that our album ‘The Bronze’ will be released on Monday 15th September 2014.

The initial run of ‘The Bronze’ is only for 100 copies – so if you’d really like to get your hands on one, buy one for your Mum, Dad or dog for Christmas, then please do consider pre-ordering the album via our Shop page.

This will ensure that your numbered copy will arrive on Tuesday 16th September, signed personally by Holly and Chris.

So this is the news… on Friday, we announced that to coincide with the release of our new full-length album in a few weeks, we have chosen to perform and release music from now on under our new band name of …. ‘The Bronze’.

This is to recognise a few things: the fact that we are now making music completely collaboratively and moving away from the lead singer/accompanist set-up; to mark the fact that our new album reflects a slightly different, darker sound which we really hope you like; and the fact that despite many years performing together, we’re lucky if both of our names are included on publicity material, let alone spelled right 🙂

To celebrate this joyous news, we’ve given you a free download of one of the songs from our new album! You can download it from here

We really hope that you come with us in the next stage of our journey together. This website will be re-directing to a new address (www.thebronze.co.uk) shortly, but in the meantime, if you do Facebook, we would be really chuffed if you could pop over to our new Facebook page and give us a like. We will be using that page exclusively for new album previews and other The Bronze news so please do stay with us!

My application experience was limited to one course. In the package of 56 stuff. According to the recommendations you need to drink 4 capsules per day according to the scheme 2 to 2 during meals. Just for 14 days is enough.

Dear One and All

We are superbly proud to let you know that our next full length studio album, ‘The Bronze’, will be launched in September 2014.

The Bronze is, we feel, our first truly collaborative set of songs; ten brand-new, co-written and arranged originals which really capture the essence of our sound together.

It’s a bit of a departure from the music you might have heard from us before; darker, fuller, brooding, atmospheric. Less Toes, more woes. Sounds like if The Sundays and The Civil Wars sat down on a comfortable sofa and watched a few episodes of Buffy Season 1 together. And we think it’s by far and away our best work and we can’t wait for you all to hear it.

Recorded in the sound capital of York (Acomb), we have worked alongside an absolutely fantastic engineer by the name of Isaac McInnis at Crooked Room Studio. We cannot praise him enough for his time, hard work, complete understanding of how we wanted this album to sound, and his affectionate cat Mozart.

The Bronze is currently in the hands of mastering guru Dave Keegan whilst the sleeve design is being nurtured by the excellent Samantha Kay-Foster; once we have the final audio complete, we will let you have a little listen.

(But only a little one, because we have to make a living.)

Hello everyone, and a big welcome to our awesome new website! We really hope you like it. There’s brand new features such as the Shop page (starring a certain guinea pig known as Jonathan in the pics), also video and audio samples as well as some cool new photography in the Gallery section by the wonderful Andy Gaines (www.andygaines.com).

The site has been very kindly revamped for us by the fantastic Alexander King (alexanderking.co). Huge thanks for your hard work Alex!

As many of you know, we tend to hibernate in the Autumn/Winter and gig slightly less. This means that there will soon be new songs and recordings for your delight! Hold tight folks. Like a good pint of Guinness, they can’t be rushed. We will of course let you know when to expect the new stuff, when we know ourselves.
